He'd lost over 40kg of his weight, over a third of his weight. At the start of his detention he weighed 100kg now he weighs no more than 60. On 24.05.25 he was beaten brutally. His cell was targeted and breached (cell no. 1 / wing 24, Ofer Prison). He was beaten viciously around his chest, had severe injuries to his face head, neck and back. The beating lasted about 30 minutes. Dr. Hussam demanded medical attention and necessary checkups, including a heart specialist but his request was denied. He suffers from arrhythmia, and the glasses recently provided him through his lawyer were smashed. Dr. Hussam still wears winter clothes, in starvation, torture, isolation, and slow annihilation buried underground, with no exposure to the rays of the sun. Dr. Hussam Abu Safya and the other Palestinian prisoners are not well.
