'Flower' (花) and 'nose' (鼻) are both pronounced 'hana' (はな) in Japanese. The phrase 'hana ga fukui' can thus be read as a pun, meaning both 'low blossom' and 'small nose'.

State of the west garden, temporarily debrided of dokudami. The beheaded sunflowers have been left to shade the crappier/more broken of the two stewartia. I need to consolidate the otafuku nanten and the hostas so they're in one clump per side.

You really CAN eat all of it (everything we had was grilled on skewers, absolutely delicious, and mercifully unidentifiable as ovary, knee, etc except the hearts which I love anyway)

You can also get premade sauce to save a step and make it even quicker. I like and use a brand called Otafuku, which you can prob get at any Asian/international grocery store.
