When I was a child in grade 2, my parents got me bilateral otoplasty after I begged them to do anything about kids flicking my big ears so hard they'd bleed.
Decades later, I get hit in the ear and now I have a keloid and cartilage popping through the broken skin.
This hurts.

In 2022 the following elective cosmetic surgeries were done on kids under 19: labiaplasty, breast reduction for gynecomastia, liposuction, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, tummy tucks, & thigh lifts. These are all forms of gender affirming care (for cis kids). But I bet that’s different, hm?
