Bride's Stories/Otoyomegatari might be amongst the very few pieces of media that treats MENA and Central Asian cultures and people with so much love for the better or worst. Please check it out it's so enriching.

11. speaking of romances, Otoyomegatari is a lovely series of stories about Muslim brides in 19th Century Central Asia, their cultures, their families, their dreams, and their fears. It's well-researched, and filled with beautifully detailed illustrations.
