In 1958 we were vacationing in the Guadalupe River area of Texas when a horrendous rainstorm came upon us. OurTexas friends said to grab everything and get out of there! My dad drove through about 12 inches of rainfall to get us to safety. We never vacationed there again

Spent the first half of my day with @heb 's #OurTexas,OurFuture sponsored volunteer event for rebuilding oyster reefs at Goose Island State Park in Fulton TX. Learned about the importance of this project for the local marine life and conservation, & for coastal protection.
