Dei um trabalho sobre grafos, onde os alunos tinham que ler um arquivo e fazer validações em memória. Muitos reclamaram de Heap e OutOfMemory. Pensei em gravar um vídeo, mas encontrei um excelente do @digitalbricklayer.bsky.social. O potencial que esse garoto tem é enorme.

Não lembro o que esse senhor fala, mas no Java a classe Error é usado para algo irrecuperável. Já exception é para algo recuperável. Deu um OutOfMemory é um Error porque a JVM vai fechar e fodasse você. NullPointerException é uma exception porque é cagada sua e você tem que resolver.

OutOfMemory fait encore des siennes. Et sa sœur, Erreur-à-la-compilation, se fait toujours remarquer quand il ne faut pas. Seul Nouvelle-Feature-Dépriorisé sauve un peu la fratrie.
Et vous, comment appelleriez-vous vos enfants si leurs prénoms devaient être en lien avec votre travail ?
T’imagines si tout le monde faisait ça ? Mes enfants s’appelleraient diphtongue et apocope.

Chapter 4 was fun, I really enjoyed drawing it. Aisling and co. might not agree with me though 😅.
This is just the beginning. Expect a lot of action (and horror!) going forwards, on top of all the scheming, backstabbing, and politics 😂.

Para ser sincero, eu continuo achando isso. Se você olhar o propósito de RuntimeExceptions no Java é para denotar bug mesmo. E errors é para indicar problemas gerados no nível da JVM(OutOfMemory, NosuchMethodError e por aí vai).
Eu sempre gostei do Either e de explicitar os possíveis problemas...

Para ser sincero, eu continuo achando isso. Se você olhar o propósito de RuntimeExceptions no Java é para denotar bug mesmo. E errors é para indicar problemas gerados no nível da JVM(OutOfMemory, NosuchMethodError e por aí vai).

Er halt Code geschrieben um die Visualisierung (Graph und Tabelle) zu erzeugen und ist dann nicht dazu gekommen den Code zu interpretieren und das Ergebnis anzuzeigen. Das kommt recht häufig vor. Gerne bei OutOfMemory Fehlern.
Nesse cenário tem que dar uma segurada pra fazer o processamento sem carregar o banco inteiro na memória da app, é nisso que o backpressure reina.
Sem isso não tem RAM que aguente, a JVM vai de OutOfMemory a mimir. 😴

Nesse cenário tem que dar uma segurada pra fazer o processamento sem carregar o banco inteiro na memória da app, é nisso que o backpressure reina.

EarTrumpet's been great and all, but every so often, it crashes silently. Event Viewer states it might be an OutOfMemory exception.
I was able to build a temporary workaround, where @streamer.bot watches for when EarTrumpet's process terminates, and immediately re-opens EarTrumpet via command line.
