When you can’t outcompete, just ban them. Classic.

Seeing shitty art way more inspiring than seeing good art. Why be demoralized by the prodigious talent of another when you can be buoyed by the feeling that you can outcompete abject mediocrity?

are we trying to cure autism or outcompete China because you can't do both

To outcompete China at this point every American couple needs to have 1.1 kids.
Kids are so cool. I’d have like 14 kids if I could. Mostly to counter the rise of China, but

So these "alpha males" are just flat-out saying that men can't outcompete women?

You’re almost never going to outcompete a dishwasher in efficiency — it reuses water, does a better job at cleaning, saves time. One of the biggest W’s in the history of technology.
People who want to get morally superior about how they hand-wash everything really gotta reckon with the fact that machine dish-washing uses considerably LESS water and emits considerably fewer greenhouse emissions than standard handwashing practices do.

(And you save a lot of time...)

The IOC, somehow managing to outcompete FIFA in the most disgraceful athletic organization Super Bowl.

These stacks outcompete democracy because they exploit what in the current information are three institutional failures: latency, opacity, and exclusion. Institutions are too slow, too closed, and too distant from public participation.

“Amusement will outcompete information and spectacle will outcompete arguments”

Describes politics pretty well in 2025

It is unfortunate that the snarky tech journalists managed to outcompete the actual tech journalists on social media

Like they dont have data centers or weird bond deals propping up a buzzword initiative, they're just out there trying to outcompete by hitting the right part of the quality/cost spectrum

Desperate for an edge that'll help her get funding and grants so she can finally outcompete her rival, Abigail sets out on her most dangerous, unethical experiment yet: Hypnotize the sitting president of the United States of America to turn her into a good girl who's into funding research.

Not to overhype it, but everything I’ve read about @bsky.app actually me think it might outcompete Twitter in the long haul.

The real masculinity crisis is that it took less than one generation for women to outcompete men in higher ed and home ownership once the legal barriers to both were both were removed and they are collectively losing their minds faced with the reality that they were never naturally superior.

entire graduate programs at harvard will cease to function with new trump ban.

fantastic news for china. they couldn’t create these opportunities to outcompete the americans in scientific education if they devoted massive resources to it.

Hard to overstate how crazy this is. Vancouver planners designed the multiplex zoning so that multiplexes would be barely competitive with single-family houses.

If we cared about housing supply, we would make them *more* attractive, so they outcompete SFHs.

3/ Now, we eradicated it in 1966, but how did we do that? Starting in the late 1950s, scientists used the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT): mass-producing sterile males and releasing them to outcompete wild males, collapsing the fly population. It works because female flies mate only once.

You cannot have too many year's britches. Definitely one of the best plants to outcompete stinging nettles.🌱

I love this analogy, and to extend it: it is nearly impossible to outweed the weeds that have taken over if your goal is to return to bluegrass. The thing you need to do is plant things that outcompete the crabgrass.
So you weed.

And if the weeding has been neglected, it is a horrible job. You are basically just ripping up chunks of turf in some areas.

It's ugly, you're covered in mud, the ground is ugly, but it's how you make room for what will eventually be beautiful.
