#OverSeaUnderStone by #SusanCooper is a 1965 childrens mystery that would be categorized as middle grade today. The book has some charm within the children's sense of wonder but has dated stereotypical dialogue and structure.

⚠️Fair warning a hard left from a villian in black face towards the end 📚💙

Just got interested in Susan Cooper (b.1935), YA fantasy author from 1960s forward. Found this fascinating archived interview of her by R.H. Thompson, 1989, about her inspirations web.archive.org/web/20060425... #OverSeaUnderStone #DarkRising #SusanCooper #Arthurianlegend #grail #merlin #cornwall
