A meta-analysis of 44 studies (21k+ people) found small but significant links between overparenting and anxiety, depression, and lower life satisfaction.
Effects varied by culture, parent gender, and age.

I mean this is gross, weird and invasive overparenting anyway, but ALSO one of the most important unspoken 'exams' of university is whether you will still attend lectures, get your assignments done, and balance it all with a healthy social life if no one else but you is forcing you to do so
