Spoilers for a future YCSM, but in light of recent conversations Google just keeps sending me notifications about reviews for figures of beloved Spawn character "Overtkill." I can only assume every review is a 40 year old man going "He's got big muscles and his guns go BOOM!"

Yeah I'm not sure if I agree with his sentiment, but also I get what it's like to have an idea of what something you made is in your head but the actuality of it isn't getting that across. That said I wouldn't be opposed to a Spawn that tries to make Overtkill or The Clown less... stupid.

I was the perfect age for early Image and absolutely loved it as a kid. Buying a Badrock comic where he teams up with Mighty Man to fight Overtkill felt like stealing because I was getting 3 titles in one. That's what I want to pass on, that's what comics needs.

To the book proper. This is mostly a dealing-with-the-fallout issue. A huge swole version of Violator shows up and he hilariously emphasizes that it's OVERTkill, not Overkill.
I dunno why he wants to kill 𝕍𝕚𝕥𝕠 𝔾𝕣𝕒𝕧𝕒𝕟𝕠. Send him to hell early? Why is he a scumbag, or is that a compliment?

Yeah, that page mentions Vito Gravano hiring Overtkill. I knew there were issues with the hockey player upset about his name getting used, then the Spawnography podcast, one of the hosts was reading originals and one from the compendium, so they talked about the change.

One of my favorite early Image gimmicks was how Overtkill would appear in both Spawn and Liefeld's books. Almost every fight would end with his head being decapitated and thrown into the other book like Rob and Todd playing volleyball.
