Today's been fairly shit but one thing that hasn't been is finally getting hold of a comic been after since last year. You'd think being collected in 2022 it'd not be that bad but nooo price jacking and/or in poor condition is rife.

I never understand why people want properties to deconstruct themselves. Then that property won’t work the same anymore! Want to deconstruct Batman? Do what Alan Moore did with Owlman in Watchmen. Come up with a character and a story to do that with.

Justice League Crisis on Two Earths: 6.5/10
I really miss when DC did animated features like this, it’s a real dying idea. Two Earths is pretty fun! Not the most amazingly well written but it’s well worth it for the fun of the evil counterparts, especially everything involving Owlman.

As a kid I believed in the nihilistic fate akin to Owlman, and even now I think there's still part of me that wants to buy in to that pre-written concept, for good or ill.

On a logical level I agree with you, but DC Comic's evil AU with Owlman fighting the Jester and teamed up with Lois, the Superwoman of Paradise Island, always felt awkward as hell IMO. Keeping the names feels smoother even if it's inconsistent.
