tbh i think a lot of this comes down to the hollowing out of state capacity in global nations
neoliberalism has basically driven so many states to P3s that people don't get "states doing things" is still possible, but not necessary radical

I recently rediscovered this awesome pic, snapped by a crew member early in my time on P3s. I sometimes forget how unusual a sight this was at the time. I arrived at P3s in 2007 - as only the third female pilot to make it, in then almost 40 years of RAAF P3 operations.
