Ben Shipway, head of dynamics research group @metoffice.gov.uk and leader of scientific development of LFRic kicks off the #pasc26 mini symposium on #AI and #HPC, plan is will replace physics models for some parts of the system but need to keep an eye on the details

#CONTINENTS project, exploring energy efficient #hpc, ran a mini symposium at #pasc26 about the role of #AI in #HPC. Speakers from EPCC, NCAR and the Met Office described their activities and, more widely, the ethical and sustainability concerns.
