Sometimes the banks are being *seriously annoying* and WILL NOT help. Like when the CFPB complaint portal helped this person: bsky.app/profile/pcas...
A bank was trying to rip me off and wouldn't respond to emails, letters, phone calls etc. for months. I filed a complaint with the CFPB online and the banks got back to me in a few days. Problem solved. The work CFPB does is essential!
Last week, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) announced a historic $1.8 BILLION settlement for 4.3 million people who were charged illegal fees or defrauded by credit repair companies.

Remember this the next time a billionaire says they want to get rid of the CFPB.

Women of course work tons of blue collar jobs, but often in care work, more “pink collar” jobs (like home health aides/PCAs/CNAs) which don’t count because they’re not manly blue collar jobs (even though they are every bit as physically taxing). Because women are SUPPOSED to do care work anyway
All a straight white man has to do is grow a beard and put on jeans and flannel, and voila: he has automatic Blue Collar Credibility, even if he actually grew up with a trust fund.

ONY white males get the Assumed Blue Collar nod simply by putting on an outfit, too. Doesn’t work for anyone else.
interesting that people are treating his blue collar aesthetic as equivalent to having a blue collar upbringing

Administrative problems with a MassHealth program that provides personal care attendants, or PCAs, for people with disabilities are leading to gaps in care as well as unpaid workers. https://bit.ly/4yQKPge

I remember a few years ago Feinstein was wheeled back and forth.

On earth, a solar equinox occurs twice each year - in March and in September.

I swear to god that where I live (the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area) a solid majority of the nurse's aides and PCAs are either immigrants themselves or first generation children of immigrants. TRY having a health care system without nurse's aides and PCAs.

A fun thing is that most personal care assistance programs are funded via Medicaid, so are all of these millions of disabled people and their PCAs supposed to call Russ Vought if Medicaid ends up being affected?
Asked how organizations that rely on federal funding should make payroll, Trump Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says they should call Russ Vought and make a case

The snuggie was originally designed for wheelchair users. It was only after being marketed towards non wheelchair users that it actually became somewhat accessible financially for people. This happens time & time again. Same concept.

Also where are you that wheelchairs & PCAs are distributed?

In fact this is happening in Arkansas and disabled people are going broke trying to pay their PCAs because the state is saying the PCAs are not logging in correctly – what they discovered is that the software is not always working right.

moments of grace: scenic drives, free parking, late August weather, flexible hrs, understanding bosses & colleagues, kind authors, loving friends & family, lake trips & trampoline parks, my hero of a partner who always keeps the iced coffee container full, too many incredible nurses & PCAs to name
