I love the bright, warm colors of 'San Felipe', a Pacific Coast #Iris variety. PCIs like a Mediterranean climate so do well with a mild, wet winter and a dry summer. Their color range is impressive. 🌱

End of 24hr shift, 13 cases, cardiac arrests, coronary perforations, septic tamponade drain, primary PCIs, left my chow mien at work😭, interviewing a job applicant soon and for some reason I’ve now agreed to go to Aldi with my wife for Christmas grocery shopping. So this is what delirium feels like.
Some days this job absolutely batters you. Adrenaline levels barely drop all day until you collapse for a brief rest, and then have to carry on. Paradoxically these are the days that make it all worthwhile. I’d take a thousand days like this over admin, meetings and emails. I’d probably die though

- correlation does not equal causation. PCIs and Internal Review cases are not *necessarily* linked. however, I believe many PCIs could be prevented by better and quicker process outcomes.

@peercommunityin.bsky.social is my new favourite. Not a journal per se, but linked to multiple journals including @peercomjournal.bsky.social which is diamond OA. I particularly like @pci-regreports.bsky.social and their scheduled review (2 weeks!), but other PCIs (e.g., Psych, Ev Bio) good too.
