I know you all know this, but you do know that air conditioning doesn’t actually cool the air down? Right? It removes the heat. Which sounds similar, except for the fact that the heat still exists, and needs to be exhausted somewhere else. Usually out your window. That’s the heat island effect.

The same goes for climate change. The models in isolation are concerning but the holistic picture is that a great deal of the warming and the ensuing damage is a) adaptable to a large degree (shading, GM) and b) reversible to a large degree (PDRC etc).

아마도 복사냉각을 말씀하고 싶으신 듯하군요. PDRC 코팅서부터 적외선냉각패널까지 여러가지 있는 것으로 알아요. 대량생산 등으로 가격만 저렴해지면 나무 심거나 거울을 다는 것 보다 훨씬 설치 및 관리 하기 쉽지요. 중동, 페르시아쪽 지방에선 야크찰이란 건축물(본체인 돔 구조물 말고 그 앞에 설치하는 작은 얼음 생산용 웅덩이)로 오랫동안 써먹어왔던 현상이기도 하고요.
건물의 지붕에 태양광 전지를 의무화하면 어떨까를 고민해 봤지만 그게 어렵다면 지붕에 나무를 심거나 아예 태양광을 우주로 반사시켜서 온도를 낮출 수 있는 거울 등을 설치하게 하면 어떨까? 빙하가 태양광을 반사시키는 역할을 하다가 줄어들면서 기온상승이 가속화되었다면 인공적으로라도 하면 어떨까?

Your basic premiss is wrong 'We don’t have cheap EVs because PDRC owns all the rare earth mines.'
You don't have them because of decisions made by your Government.... you may also be surprised by the fact that rare earth minerals exist out side China.
