Great to see. @pft.org's Pathways to Teaching program is so successful that we won expanded eligibility to all non-teaching staff in our new contract! Even more dedicated school staffers can earn a degree and certification at no cost to them - along with the salaries & pensions of career teachers.

For the first time since PA politicians stole our right to go on strike 24 years ago, PFT members voted overwhelmingly to authorize our union to call a strike if necessary. Just as we won back our rights in 2017, we're gonna win a contract that Philly public school professionals deserve ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

Our charter was signed on June 10, 1941. PFT founders went on to win a collective bargaining campaign with support from civil rights elders including Martin Luther King, Jr.
