the thing about the disinvestment in cinema quality control is that exhibitors can blame dwindling audiences and revenues, but they’ve invested plenty in everything other than quality (except on digital PLFs they charge more for)
At THE ODYSSEY on one of the only IMAX 70 venues left in the world…and they haven’t figured out how to play the movie yet. 20+ minutes after showtime; they’ve briefly started it twice, then turned it off. No communication from theater staff. Very worried this isn’t happening. Sigh.

I got impression that PLFs don't so much *like* other women, as much as want to police us. I was/am New Romantic/Goth-y: wear velvet, have Pre-Raph hair. I was told I was 'too romantic, not political enough'. I don't dress butch, unless it's frock-coats, frilled shirts & hussar jackets.

Police refused plfs requests for water to wash out their eyes, hoping to force them to release themselves from their restraints & end the protest. Lawyers for police argued that plfs were engaged in "active resistance" of arrest.

I went into community mental health knowing I had the IDR - I love CMH, but it does not pay the bills. If my payments go up and I lose PLFS, I will have to look outside of social work to survive, or work 2 jobs.

Still have emotional bruises from experiences with Political Lesbian Feminists at university 1984-ish. Am a bi-Romantic Asexual, shading to NB these days. The PLFs in student group policed me for my clothes, hair, make-up. I got on better with the gay men bcos they weren't judgemental bullies.
