#PLSF
I hope she rips into Wrestling Lady too. What she has done to students and borrowers has been awful. Their handling of SAVE and buyback for PLSF is just beyond the pale.

man when that PLSF finally hits and I only have like $1000 left on the car....I won't have any debt???

like what????

Also it's going to tank my credit score. I just know it.

Incremental PLSF would forgive a % of the total loan amount for each eligible month of repayment made while working for a qualifying organization. This would ensure that even if the party in power changes, or the program is changed at a later date, people wouldn't lose all of their progress.

They have fucked student loan repayment just as badly for those of us that went to college in the early 00s as well. My monthly payments are now 5.5x what they were before Trump. And if I go back to a non-profit to work toward PLSF, the payment will be 8x the old REPAYE payment.

Still waiting on them to stop with the PLSF count shenanigans. Guess that won’t happen until after the midterms too.

I think her reign of terror is just more quiet. They are going to make it next to impossible to get a college degree and it's going to effect the market in the long run. How they are running the student loan program is atrocious too especially if you're trying to achieve PLSF( ask me how I know).

My husband is on PLSF and he did get his notice in August but we can’t figure out how him applying for the new Trump admin RAP program will impact his payment counts because there is a lot of arbitrary and confusing information out there.

Please baby, teenage, and adult aged Jesus' please let my social worker spouse be one of the 6,100 PLSF loans that were forgiven today.

Here's the deal: I work at a private tech startup we are launching. It's hopefully going to make me rich.

But I'm not an idiot.

We all rely on our public employees so much, and states usually underpay them. Ending PLSF would be devastating to our country.

They deserve respect.

I can kind of understand it for the biglaw case, but if you aren't well into 6 figures in the first few years after law school it would take a long time to bounce back. And PhD holders do still make ~about what PLSF enjoyers make, except they got paid while getting the degree

AND no longer allowing graduates to be on income-dependent plans. Colleague of mine who went to physical therapy school must pay $2K per month and cannot apply for PLSF. Financed school with some scholarship but no help from poor family. Was to get her out of poverty but not at this amount.

The only positive trade off for working a shitty underpaid understaffed punlic service job is that you’ll qualify for PLSF. Si I think it’s wild they are trying so hard to fuck over a good bunch of ppl who are holding out in these positions that offer so little we can barely make rent w/ roommates

Won't talk about how those avenues of work failed me. Like when I got rejected for loan Forgiveness plsf under Biden, cuz as a contracted non profit worker my labor "didn't count"

I’m really hoping they won’t slash the PLSF but since they will, I hope they also figure out who exactly is about to pay them back because I’m not.

PLSF 5 ^^

Past PLSF I don't think we'll see student loan forgiveness in our lifetimes. Dems gave us student loan forgiveness and they were rewarded with low youth voter turnout. Even the most progressive politicians will look at that and abandon loan forgiveness for broader policies.

Don’t forget that these are the loans that were supposed to be forgiven years ago in the broken PLSF system. They keep announcing these but what about Sweet v. Cardona loans that are still in limbo? What about the loans from average borrowers? Oh.

I had to move mine to Mohela to get PLSF...which I still haven't gotten yet.

If PLSF is repealed, thousands of doctors like myself will have their financial future up-ended. I have planned my career around this program, and if I thought it could go away, I would have taken different jobs.
