Hyderabad, Sep 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday urged the Centre to sanction 9.56 lakh houses to the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G). He made the demand during a meeting with Union Rural Development and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here. The Chief Minister thanked the Union Minister for allocating 2 lakh houses to the state in the first phase under the PMAY-G scheme. Revanth Reddy had submitted a representation to the Union Minister in Delhi in July, requesting the sanction of houses for 11,56,915 eligible rural families.

Revanth Reddy on Tuesday urged the Centre to allocate 11,56,915 houses to Telangana under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G). He made the demand during a meeting with Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan in New Delhi. The Chief Minister briefed him on the details of the construction of the 'Indiramma Houses' for poorer sections in Telangana. The Chief Minister told the media after meeting Chouhan that issues mainly related to 'Indiramma Houses' and employment guarantee works were raised.

New Delhi, May 28 (SocialNews.XYZ) Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday released a “mother sanction” of Rs 10,021.42 crore to 12 states under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), in a landmark step towards realising the vision of ‘Housing for All’ by March 2029. The sanction was released via video conferencing to the states of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. Addressing the event, Chouhan said that against the target of 4.95 crore houses under the scheme, approvals for 3.91 crore houses have already been accorded and construction of more than 3.05 crore houses has been completed.

New Delhi, Sep 24 (SocialNews.XYZ) A total of 2.82 crore houses have been completed out of 4.12 crore allocated under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (as of August 4), an official document said on Wednesday. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G), the government initially set a target of 2.95 crore houses for FY 2016–17 to FY 2023–24. Recognising the continued rural housing demand, the Union Cabinet approved the continuation of the scheme for another five years (FY 2024–25 to FY 2028–29) with an additional target of 2 crore houses, bringing the cumulative target to 4.95 crore houses.
