I got CSP working with pen pressure in Pop_OS (Linux) thanks to this guide! Didn't need to install the Huion driver either, it just worked with Pop_OS's built-in tablet support.

Just going to throw out that Pop_OS! Linux is more user-friendly than Windows at this point, and more windows programs run under Linux than Windows at this point as well, and Linux also doesn't spy on you.

Turns out COSMIC, the environment of Pop_OS, is a stuttery mess. The version of Wayland it uses is less that optimal. I have to distrohop again... I think KDE Plasma is the only place to be for gaming especially. And I kinda miss Fedora...

I've been daily driving pop_os on my upstairs computer for about a year, to prep for switching my desktop over when win 10 leaves support.
It's surprisingly friendly.

Try Linux if you can, Ubuntu has gotten silly easy to work with, Mint is very newbie friendly as well. Pop_os has a lot of gaming stuff built in if that's your thing too.

I knew i made the right decision when i went to pop_os from 10, instead of to 11.
Partitioned my MacBook's SSD and installed Linux Mint to dual-boot last night. It works alright, but haven't figured out how to get the wifi to work properly on the Linux side.
I'm considering reinstalling Ubuntu Budgie or Pop_OS instead, so I'm not stressing out about fixing it.

I installed Pop_OS! 24.04 beta on my old work laptop. So far I'm liking COSMIC.
First impressions: Pop_OS is harder to customize, but it's smooth and fast and wifi works out of the box without any tinkering.

My main OS for the past 3 years has been Pop_OS!
Overall there are tons of flavors of linux and a lot of them are honestly kind of the same, but Pop_OS! has made considerable strides if you are specifically working with higher power hardware (like 30 or 40 series nvidia) gpus.
It's fast and smooth

I got into linux cause I worked at a place that mostly ran on linux and I just had to get used to it. I was pretty broke at the time and was using a cracked version of Windows 7 at home and I thought "why not just use this it's free and seems fine". Have rarely had a moment of regret.
I've been a full time Linux user for over 10 years. All the computers in my home run Linux. I do professional graphic design and video editing on Linux. Ask me if you have questions.
