#PPRM2026 ECRs, please don’t hesitate in approaching me during the conference if you are interested in working with us 😊🌱
I'm excited to share that my newly funded #ERCStG FRONTERA is recruiting two postdoctoral researchers at @ipbhalle.bsky.social 🌱🔬

If you are passionate about plant immunity, proteolysis, membrane proteins, or proteomics, I'd love to hear from you. 🧵

Please RT/share!

At Peptide Receptor Meeting #PPRM2026. A theme that came back twice is re-evaluation of old published results. We know about ABP1 and the systemin receptor, but there were two other examples today: WAK1 perception of OGs, and BSU1 Tyr dephosphorylation of BIN2 in BR signalling. #PlantScience

Very happy to receive the Best Talk Prize at #PPRM2026! Thanks so much to the organizers and everyone who made the meeting such a great experience.

Excited to keep pushing the project forward within the GreenRobust framework! @greenrobust.de @as-in-hohenheim.bsky.social
Xu Wang from Andreas Schaller’s (@as-in-hohenheim.bsky.social) group has received the Best Talk Prize at the Plant Peptide Receptor Meeting (PPRM2026) for his work on new systemins in tomato. Congratulations!

Last talk today at #PPRM2026 by Moutassem Omary (Zipfel lab) illustrates the modularity and flexibility of PRR signalling: after redundant receptors, peptides and antipeptides, here come the secreted LRR domains that can basically replace BAK1 and interfere with various pathways. #PlantScience

Invited speaker @malick-mbengue.bsky.social starts the symbiosis session with a talk beautifully made around the example of a multiple factor authentication #PPRM2026

Great talk by @draegermarkus.bsky.social from @thesainsburylab.bsky.social #Proteomics team talking at the PPRM2026 meeting on an NLR guarding a MKKK involved in receptor-mediated signalling. #ProudTeamleader
No membrane receptors or peptides but lots of interesting insights into NLR biology from

The last talk from today was from Sunita Jindal from @mwrzaczek.bsky.social lab who shared their recently published study on CRK2 #PPRM2026

Julian Maroschek from @huckelhovenr.bsky.social lab shares their recently published story on tomato MIK2 receptors. #PPRM2026

Yeah!!! So exciting to see Xu presenting new work on systemins in tomato at #PPRM2026 🌱🔥Our preprint: doi.org/10.64898/202...
This one feels personal. My work in the Schaller lab was on systemin signaling specificity, and now Xu has pushed the story forward by uncovering new systemins in tomato.

@receptora.bsky.social from the Parys group shares aspects of their recently published analysis on SymRK-like receptors #PPRM2026

Xu Wang (Schaller's lab), giving a talk at #PPRM2026 about new systemins in tomato, reminds us of the 1991 Science paper from Clarence Ryan's lab that basically started the whole field: 2 kg of tomato leaves to finally extract 1 ug of systemin. Amazing biochemistry.

Cool to see @malick-mbengue.bsky.social there. He gave one my favorite talks at the very first peptide & receptor meeting, in Oslo a long time ago (must have been 2012 or 2013). 🙂 #pprm2026
