On Monday, I tabled a petition supporting striking PSAC Local 71250 security officers at the Bank of Canada. Today, I joined them on the picket line with my NDP colleagues. Workers’ rights must be respected and enforced. They deserve good-faith bargaining and a fair deal.

Yesterday, I joined PSAC at their rally to protect public services. Over 10,000 PSAC members have already received notices that their jobs are disappearing. These workers administer vital programs like EI and OAS. Public sector workers – and all Canadians – deserve better.

I'm a shop steward with PSAC-UNE (Parks Canada). We've dealt with so many cutbacks, even though we can generate revenue (when the PM doesn't make it free to enter the Parks). To see money for pipelines but cut backs for National Parks, this is disillusioning

Carney's public service cuts will have real impacts on Canadians' lives from the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat to Indigenous services for communities and access to services for all Canadians.

There are several PSAC components bargaining right now who have been without a contract for almost two years. It's not unions dragging it out. It's the employer. Every single time. Here's a stat for you - since 2001, Liberals have been the ones in office when the public service takes strike action.
