after like two months of me pestering the facility the guy was like "oh yeah insurance needs to know you've tried EVERY MED and it didn't work" and i had my psych send them paperwork from the past five years. i've been seeing him since like 2013. trust me i've tried EVERY MED

Calling my mom as a psych ward patient on her birthday, I felt a miserable wretch no mother can be proud of. I was so ashamed I had nothing better to offer of the child she'd raised to be somebody in the world than this social garbage I was. @mewefree.bsky.social @insatiableone.bsky.social
My mom's birthday is September 19. I was in the psych ward that day, but I remembered it was her birthday when I called her. I broke down in tears of deep grief & shame for myself, calling as pathetic social trash from a psych ward as the only presentation of myself I could have before my mother.

Do your classes ever read Fast Food Nation by Schlosser? I used to read excerpts w/ my USH and Psych/Soc classes, and whoo-we, it's an eye opener, even on the 50th read. Especially fascinating is Chapter 2 "Your Trusted Friends" comparing Kroc & Disney, and their authoritarian corporate uniformity.

I live with multiple targets on my back. It doesn’t make me a bad person, I’m righteous. All Black Americans live with a target on our back from the police state that can take our lives at any time for no reason. All mad people are surveilled for anything to get cops to drag us to the psych ward.

I said to my partner last night in bed, thanks for spending your life with me. It's not easy to be the partner of a severely mentally ill person, we're a lot of trouble day to day & do things like get committed to psych wards by cops. He chooses to see the beautiful human being in me & love her.
