Opening of PTA’s MAGNOLIA-ass event
The guy who dined and dash, ran into the street, and then got hit by a car, whose driver then pulled a hit-and-run, is my new favorite local story of maybe ever. www.yourcentralvalley.com/news/crime/f...

Going to celebrate PTA's Oscar win by having a beautiful woman poison my breakfast

more proof that casting is PTA's superpower
PTA shut down production and ballooned the budget on this movie so he could cast Benicio del Toro, and the very first shot of him instantly proves it was worth it

The best film in years — and PTA’s music choices, as always, are a big reason why.

If you didn't catch the names in PTA's speech, the 1975 Best Picture nominees are Barry Lyndon, Dog Day Afternoon, Jaws, Nashville, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. There are no skips; there is no wrong place to start. They will make you love American movies anew, and demand the best from them.

also There Will Be Blood may have been PTA’s finest movie and Paul Dano was great in it, in not one but TWO roles

With no institutional response to foodbourne illness unless it is *extremely* severe, it'll be up to individuals and their nearest communities.

Individual Facebook groups figuring out that Amy's canned soup is what is making them sick, individual churches and PTA's etc issuing warnings

now onto PTA's lightest movies on this easy breezy Saturday #nowwatching

OBBA is not PTA's best movie, but he clearly deserves to be an Oscar winner

Somewhat late, but One Battle After Another really is that good. Fantastic action movie that is impossibly perfect for the political moment, up there with PTA’s best, earns the use of the Battle of Algiers clip midway through. See it.

PTA's shadow career is fascinating

I know some people who love PTA’s movies but hate Steely Dan. Well, his latest film has FORCED YOUR HAND

Still PTA's best movie. Tremendous.

BOOGIE NIGHTS (1998) remains undefeated, in my mind, as PTA's finest film because it's the only one that confronts America's (and PTA's own!) attraction/revulsion complex toward queer AMAB sexuality

Why is Variety all up in PTA's ass like this lmao
Goddammit sometimes I don’t want to root for any of the characters. Sometimes I just want to watch a bunch of scumbags do stuff

Happy 11th anniversary to PTA's Inherent Vice.

Ah, the French 75 from PTA's film "Do Not Be the French 75"?

Today’s mood: I’m seeing PTA’s #OneBattleAfterAnother tonight.

I don't think One Battle is PTA's best film but it will be remembered for the way it captured an era defined by a sick amalgam of farce and deadly harm, the paralysis that whiplash induces, and the addled helplessness of well-meaning white idiots.

Plus Bovino.

I have circled back to PTA's debut film.
