i think if you had an infinite number of Earth2 filled with pzombies so the experiment isnt unethical there'll be ways for harris to come out on top by running to the left on xyz issue, but with only ~220k votes needed wins are going to come down to more butterfly effect shit than ideological

a topic i always find kind of really annoying is people have endless debates over whether neanderthals were pzombies basically lol. "did they understand concepts", bc we haven't found anything we'd really call art from earlier hominids. and it strikes me as... i dunno. meaninglessly motivated

I just blocked someone (not someone I was interacting with) who was saying the point of a protest vote in the US right now is to wake up the pzombies and show them a better world is possible, and. There'd be nothing to wake up. And they'd be as likely to already agree with you as anyone else.

no confusion. they just both come up during the same arguments wrt whether or not it's possible for an AI to become conscious. pzombies are a useful tool when discussing whether or not the turing test is a useful measure of consciousness
