Ill be heading to this spot tomorrow. I didn't scope it out beforehand but I watched as many YouTube videos as I could find on this spot. I started fishing in June and still haven't caught anything. I usually target trout but I've tried a lot of different rigs to try and catch anything, im not picky I love this game! On fishbrain, it says theres rainbow, brown, and steelhead in here. It also was just stocked on saturday. So im thinking kastmasters, spinners, and paddletails? I'm using a pflueger president ul rod, daiwa regal reel, 12lb braid to 8lb

Hello all! I was rigging up my chatterbait and realized I purchased the “Kickin Zako” with a paddle tail instead of the normal one which has a flat tail with more subtle action. I’ve seen online where a lot of people have said to steer away from paddletails for chatterbaits, so I was wondering what you all think? I’ve used the OG fluke in the past and worked a charm, but will it really affect anything if I use these? Maybe I can just rip the paddletail off too if they do 🤷🏽‍♂️Posted by Bingbong717

I have been hitting South Shore LI beaches and inlets hard, fishing mornings and nights a lot looking for stripers. But, pretty much all of my success has been good size bluefish during afternoons on an outgoing tide. Rotating through about 4 different spots, with 3 being productive and learning the 4th. BLUF: what 2.5-3.3” paddletails look life like? What do you suggest for clear water (4-5’ visibility)? I fished a southern lake this past weekend with clear water, considered clear for the South anyway. My usual Strikeking Rage Swimmers 2.75” and Megabass Spark Shad 3” didn’t do the trick. Hey folks, I’m contemplating fishing the Sabine River below Toledo Bend (clear, fairly quick moving water, with sandy/sandstone bottom). I’ve caught a few spots dragging a finesse worm along the bottom, but that’s was weeks ago when temps were higher.Overcast day with 50F air temps. Water temps are probably around 60F.There’s shallow riffles as well as big pools, eddies, etc.What would you experienced river fishermen be throwing?I plan to throw spinnerbaits, paddletails, maybe a glide, and various plastic worms Texas-rigged and weighted, but I’m open to suggestions.
