Thinking about how save regionally critical plants, most of which most people have never seen or even heard of.

Without intervention, many of these plants will go locally extinct, and there is currently no program or funding to address these issues.

Some species haven't been seen for decades.

The world, and especially this locality, would have looked very alien to us, most likely! And Asteroxylon is about the same size as a lot of modern lycopodiaceans, but some modern ones do get a larger; some Lycopodiella (Palhinhaea) species can be over 1m tall!!!
