C’est un établissement plutôt original qui va faire irruption dans la rue Bernard-Palissy, en lieu et place de l’ancien bar La Croix du champ : une salle d’arcades.

Yes, a porcelain factory was the setting for the signing of a treaty, on this day, 10 August 1920. The Treaty of Sèvres was signed between the Allies and the Ottoman Empire in this exhibition room on the second floor in the (now) Musée de Sèvres. Perhaps the Hall of Mirrors was booked for a Dior ad.

This distinctive deep blue glazed oval dish is from the early 17th-century and is a piece of Palissy ware.

The term Palissy ware describes ceramics produced in the style of famous French potter, Bernard Palissy who referred to his own work as ‘rustique’.
