I mainly play on the Fox Go and Pandanet servers, but as a western beginner I'd recommend OGS to start playing (and youtube videos explaining the basics)

this game on Pandanet was closer than I thought. their monkey jump at the end really narrowed the gap

pandanet-igs.com -> veel Aziatische spelers
www.gokgs.com -> meer Amerikanen en Europeanen

I mostly play on FoxGo or Pandanet, but if you’re looking for a server with western players & community features, OGS is probably the best

and for correspondance games, western server OGS (the most practical one for english speaking beginners, that's what I did back then)

There are quite lot of beginners on OGS - if I recall correctly -, and mostly english speakers, so I'd recommend that server !
Or pandanet, that's good too :) but mostly japanese players there

OGS is mainly for western players, I think it's the biggest one for english speaking people. Easier to connect & chat there as well. Fox is a chinese server, Pandanet a japanese one, I just use them to face differend kind of players.

I asked someone who plays and she said
"I mostly play on OGS - a server with a lot of european & US players -, pandanet - an old server, with mostly japanese people -, and Fox - chinese server."
Looks like someone else mentioned Fox too so that seems good!
