This legislation would incentivize the use of same-day paratransit technology at public transit agencies to allow for more flexible paratransit services for individuals with disabilities & others who cannot use fixed-route public transit.

Pretty sure that a buck and a half for DoorDashing a meal is more equitable for folks with disabilities than decimating paratransit
Nor did it appear that those from across the political spectrum that rose up in opposition to the "burrito tax" considered whether the negative equity implications of the delivery fee outweighed the negative equity implications of the 40% cut in transit service that the transit reform bill averted.

Yes, I'm aware that paratransit exists and why. My point was: How often do automotive journalists include a disclaimer that not everyone can drive? (Such as paratransit users!) Because "not everyone can bike" is pretty typical in mainstream articles about bikes.

So my mother has to have radiation five days a week for a while and she’s been taking advantage of New York’s wonderful access a ride shared paratransit service to do so. It’s a total lifesaver, especially with the general assembly in town.
