Parthenocissus tricuspidata, die dreispitzige Jungfernrebe. Starkwachsende Kletterpflanze für sonnige bis halbschattige Bereiche und nährstoffreichen, frischen Boden. Stammt aus Asien und glänzt bei uns vor allem durch eine auffällige Herbstfärbung.

A White-winged Dove (Zenaida asiatica) was standing on a Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) vine in Norman, Oklahoma, United States on November 16, 2025. The bird seemed to me to be trying to decide whether I was a dangerous human or the human that feeds birds, to flee or not to flee. Long ago, there were none of this species this far north, but they have been expanding their range.
