#PartyFacts
PolPaL is to PartyFacts as repdem.org is to ParlGov, pass it on

This is definitely something on our to do list (but also quite some work).

Maybe @paulbederke.bsky.social can say more about the future maintenance of partyfacts?

Anyone have access to the cumulative @chesdata.bsky.social that includes the partyfacts_id?

I originally thought partyfacts included variables indicating party IDs from across different sources and unified them with a single partyfacts_id but I can't find a dataset that has this

📢 Merge 77 is here 🇨🇱

CNEP's cross-sectional dataset now incorporates Chile 2025, with international harmonization and PartyFacts coding.

And a first for CNEP: we're introducing panel data for the first time:

🇪🇸 Spain 2023 Panel

🗄️ Documentation — these additions are fully documented in the project's codebooks and data protocol, which now include the PartyFacts variables (_PFC) alongside each party code and party name.

🔗 PartyFacts integration
CNEP applies PartyFacts coding for Party IDs and Thermometer feelings with no more manual matching. Internal codes like "Gov1" now also carry real party names (i.e. PSOE, CDU/CSU, MORENA…).

I had a question -- is partyfacts a linking schema you would support? Or is it not being updated anymore?

anyone worked with the #partyfacts database? It looks impressive, but it's a bit overwhelming. I am looking for parties in government across elections in the 20th C, across many countries (pref all European or even more). But in the #ParlGov subfile I only see first and last appearance in the data.
