We were able to stay a night in the hilltop town my husband's great grandmother came from: Rotondella, Italy. We met some locals (thanks to Google Translate), ate the local cuisine (Pastizz'), and enjoyed the views!

Well, now I really want a pastizz.
Look, I love all of Toronto's communities. Greektown, Koreatown, Little Ukraine, Little Portugal. They all contribute to the city's rich cultural tapestry. But one neighbourhood that doesn't get enough love is Little Malta. Show some goddamn respect, Toronto. Where else can you get pastizz? Nowhere.

I use Puff Pastry, here in Poland it's called Ciasto Francuskie / French Pastry.
I've tried hot water crust pastry, but never succeeded at a decent veggie gluten free one, they are always too crumbly.
