Our new client needs a donation system. Because Plone CMS (the platform we are using to build their website) is a flexible open-source CMS, we aren't locked into any ecosystem. We can integrate exactly what fits them.

For non patreon stuff, I've used payfast to get payments from overseas at much lower fees than paypal but your client will have to be ok with going through a local payment option they will not have heard about.
