I've seen a lot of posts from the team behind TADC and it seems like one of the "whole points" of the show was to keep it releasing for free first and foremost. There were opportunities to paygate releases earlier and they weren't taken, for that reason. Why the sudden change?

I do worry that people could paygate influence like on Twitter anyway though. Someone could require payment to appear in a feed, for example.
