October 1 is Treaty Day in Nova Scotia. In 1986, Mi’kmaq Grand Chief Donald Marshall Sr. called on Mi’kmaw people to observe the date each year in recognition of the treaty relationship between the Mi’kmaq and the Crown.

The Houston Government is, frankly, delusional if they think fracking can be done safely. And it is unconscionable to proceed with resource extraction that Mi'kmaq refuse to accept on their land.
