I'm sitting in the WNC woods, watching a pileated woodpecker & listening to a red bellied woodpecker call (territorial or mating).
A herd of deer apparently thought I was a fierce pedator.
The head doe gave a snort, and they fled into the rhodendrons.
Good stuff.
