Council members said the town has approved a CMAR project and begun architect and contractor meetings for more than $1,000,000 in planned work at Veterans Park; the public will be invited to hearings on proposed designs and budgets.

Staff reported the wastewater treatment plant expansion is on track for final completion in December 2026; council credited federal support, including a $60 million appropriation that staff said helped the project.

After a lengthy debate about contamination, costs, and effects on businesses, the Pendleton Town Council voted Aug. 4 to eliminate residential curbside recycling on the schedule presented and directed staff to study impacts on commercial bulk-container customers and cardboard handling for businesses.

Council voted to have staff and consultants revise the Tax Increment Financing district boundary and Village Hills small-area plan so the plan reflects land the town and partners currently own, explicitly directing staff to present a revised boundary, civic campus concept and plan amendments for council review.
