Unhappily married to Letitia Norquoy (1813–1898), Scott refused to cause a scandal by leaving his wife, and a workable ménage à trois was established: his mistress, Alice Boyd of Penkill Castle, spent winters with Scott & Letitia in London, while they came to Penkill, South Ayrshire, in the summers.

Valiant effort but two calls on the ice overturned really hurt the game. Jets are a great team and they go their two points, but getting a goal called back like that and another called against is canes hockey.
