Tonight we remember the eight extremely brave, fearless and selfless lifeboatmen, all sons of Mousehole, who made the ultimate sacrifice on the 19th December 1981.

Following on from this my earliest memory of a non-celeb news story is the loss of the #Penleelifeboat and the Union Star. 1981 was the first year we went on holiday to Cornwall and visited Mousehole. RIP.
