Natural Resources Wales has apologised after a spreadsheet containing employee diversity information, including details such as ethnicity, religion or belief and sexual orientation, was inadvertently disclosed. The breach affects people employed by NRW between April 2013 and March 2018. The body has reported the matter to the Information Commissioner's Office. NRW confirmed the breach in a statement published on 4 September, in which it said it was informing former and current employees of "a personal data breach involving employee diversity information". "Following an investigation, we identified that a spreadsheet containing employee information was inadvertently disclosed," NRW said.
