Week #44 of 52Frames: Rule Of Odds!

“An Uneven Grace”.

#52frames #52frames_ruleofodds #photography #blackandwhite #monochrome #minimalism #quebec #canada #eastcoastkin
Five orchid blossoms follow the gentle curve of a slender stem, their delicate petals unfolding into the darkness. They face the viewer, revealing intricate patterns of speckles and delicate textures, creating an irregular rhythm of shapes and shadows. Illuminated against an almost absolute black background, the flowers seem suspended in an undefined space, somewhere between presence and disappearance. Their graceful arrangement carries a quiet asymmetry, a balance that doesn't rely on perfection or symmetry to feel complete. There is something fleeting about their beauty, yet something remarkably enduring in the way they hold the light. A small study of natural harmony, where imperfection, imbalance and elegance quietly coexist.

In this three-part artwork series, however, this spiritual model is recoded. It serves as a lens through which to view three different historical perspectives on menstruation, the female body, and societal change over the centuries: • Purgatio (The Cleansing / The Release): A look back at antiquity and the early Middle Ages. Here, the female cycle is understood purely mechanically and morally as a mere release valve – a necessary, turbulent expulsion of physical excess and the shedding of inherited “impurity.” The body in the eternal struggle of the elements. • Illuminatio (The Enlightenment / The Secret): A look at the centuries of strict taboo, shame, and secrecy. Visually charged with symbols, patterns, and secret societies, this phase reflects the hidden. The woman at the center carries the unspoken knowledge about her own body like a mystery that must remain hidden from society, while in the background, enlightenment and the dissection of old dogmas begin. • Perfectio (The Completion / The Reconciliation): The modern, transcendent perspective of the present and future. Liberation from centuries of stigma. The menstrual cycle is no longer understood as a deficiency or a poison, but as a perfect, natural system. The woman rests in harmony with herself and the elements—the complete reconciliation with her own nature. Thus, the spiritual transformation on the path to God is reinterpreted as the historical path of woman's emancipation to herself and to the healing of her own body from the taboos of history. I write to satisfy the orders of a personality disorder. An annoying compulsion to qualify every phrase. Aside. Supplement. Annotate. Footnote. Index. Cross-reference. Normal people seem content with regular conversation. The shorthand of everyday social interaction. But shy - Mouth-dry - My instincts are unreliable. So I write. To amend my intent. Get out what I want to say. Wanted to say. The way I’d liked to have said it. The results are unsatisfactory. It is, nonetheless, a form of perfectionism.

Panel 1: Title panel that reads “Bob by JDVM”. The negative space in the letters of “Bob” are stars and there is a twinkling field of stars behind the letters. Panel 2: Star (A robot shaped like a massive four-pointed star made of perpendicular diamond shapes) hovers incredibly close to a tall platform. Atop it are Crescent (A squat robot whose head is a crescent shape) and Solé (A squat robot whose head is sun shaped). They are next to a large, pillbox shaped machine. A Star Henchman (a four pointed star with arms and legs) is holding captive a regular Henchman (a stick figure with an inverted triangle for a head) Solé: This press is the new, patented Henchman Customizer. Panel 3: Front view of the robots on the platform. Solé looks smug and Crescent tooks worried. Solé: It completely remolds the Henchmen chassis into a new shape Panel 4: Closeup of the previous panel. The only robots we see are Solé and the captive Henchman. Solé presses a button on the machine with a wicked grin. It opens like a clamshell. Solé: Prepare the Henchman for conversion. Panel 5: Top-down view of the open machine. Inside are a double star shaped indentation. Solé (offscreen): Toss it in! Panel 6: The Henchman is inside the machine, arms wrapped around its knees. Panel 7: The machine is closed once more and smoke is coming out of it and the screams of the Henchman can be heard. Solé beams with pleasure, and Crescent looks very worried. Panel 8: Rearview of the platform, showing us Star once more, who has a neutral, unreadable expression. Even more smoke is coming from the machine. Crescent: But… But you are hurting it. Panel 9: Closeup of Solé and Crescent. The background is filled with black smoke. Solé: Their agony is a small price to pay for perfection.

I loved THE WEIGHT (2026), a new period piece thriller starring Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe. Definitely speaks to our times.

o i just saw ur other post, you only get Perfectio for finishing an Enshroud that you gained from Plentiful, so that's how you get Perfectio in the opener!

Plentiful gives a buff called Pefectio Occulta, using Communio with the buff gives Perfectio Parata, which can be spent for the skill itself!

rayan-iolanthe.bsky.social
it's cause in the opener u pop arcane and use Gluttony + Plentiful + a full Enshroud finished with Perfectio which can all fit in buffs, after the opener u have enough gauge to fit 2 communios into arcane circle when its back so that's how u do the burst from there on!
