We need performative retribution until nobody ever tries to pull this shit again.

This is an actual mandate.

Performative public lying is a hallmark of far right authoritarian parties

If you’re worried about being a sore winner just remember all the performative cruelty over the last 2 years.

Some idiot said this was ‘performative’ but theses folks did so after they voted, so I guess the idiot thinks that VOTING is performative too
@xelahart.bsky.social 😉

In a very Sinemaness way she Fettermans all over the place and does performative Manchin dancing.

Glenn Beck is always performative

I think it's more symbolic than performative.

Performative has the connotation that the person doesn't really mean it. Symbols have power, and there is intent. This act was a powerful symbol that inspired people.

But, if the least you can do is be performative, that's often better than nothing.

Performative theater for his boss.

Folks (predictably) mad at me on the other app, saying I’m “virtue signaling” — a hollow phrase that suggests any morals expression is performative instead of, you know, how a person feels — is so perfect.

You know what I’m making fun of the owners for? Losing behind hollow, performative bullshit.
Heart goes out to NFL owners after a tough night. Here’s hoping they can pick up the pieces, and finally find a way to Inspire Change, Choose Love and Stop Hate.

Because, you know, It Takes All of Us.

This is so performative man
November 3, 2026 at 4:36 PM
This but unironically

Even if it’s performative, performative politics are good and lead to more acceptance than otherwise!

If you're coming for Charles, you're simply confirming you're a performative pest who doesn't pay attention.

He's the adult in the room!
I’ve LITERALLY used my platform to raise over $34,000 for his campaign by posting a link stressing how vital it is to flip the Senate, EVERY FUCKING DAY FOR A YEAR NOW.
November 2, 2026 at 1:00 PM
Today's a good day to ignore performative doomers
November 3, 2026 at 2:42 PM

November 3, 2026 at 12:45 PM
Cringeworthy, performative prop comedy all the way down.
October 31, 2026 at 6:41 PM
Read something on here not too long ago about performative not being a bad thing as it’s made out to be. We do performative acts in diff ways all of the time, rituals like this that are intentionally outward facing and mean something especially when performed by many people.
November 4, 2026 at 5:44 PM
right now they are selecting for performative assholes who glue themselves to donald trump and they will keep blowing winnable race after winnable race unless those incentives change somehow

and the next gen is all a bunch of twitter-addicted groyper nazi edgelords
November 4, 2026 at 6:45 PM
I did vote, but only in a performative way to post about on social media.
November 3, 2026 at 11:26 PM
the thing about cis ppl Posting about how they "will bully reps into being pro trans" (performative, never happening) is that in the endless jokes they continue to replicate Trans as Symbol against the lived lives of trans people. here's some woke 1 style analysis to make you uncomfortable
can't get into "transgender for everyone" posting when they're quite close to passing multiple restrictions for segregating trans girls from social life in multiple states and the seed has been planted in the democrats to just quietly do this but tonight is fine let the steam out

No Kings is not a protest in any meaningful sense. It's a performative parade to assuage liberal guilt.
I'd say that No King's demand is the maintenance and continuity of the status quo. They do want something, and it's a return to normalcy. They demand that nothing be done, no one take action, that all the forms and rituals be observed as they always have, forever. It's reactionary normalism
