This year's blueberry harvest(s) is the result of five years of work. Success as a Permie Witch is a special kind of sweet magic. #OnTheCovenstead #Witchsky #PermieWitch

If it doesn't fall in the realm of Earth Care, People Care, or Fair Share, I ain't doing it.

I know trying to turn 2 acres into a magical permaculture food forest is a bit fanatical, but I can't think of a better thing to 'leave' the world.

Local arborist dropped off a dump truck of wood chips for me. It's like an early Yule gift! Applying permaculture to my Land-tending means A LOT of material management. Happy to help a fellow small business person while helping. #VillaWestwyk #OnTheCovenstead #PermieWitch #WitchSky #WitchMadness.

What this part of #WitchSky was up to today: finding bees in peculiar places, harvesting raspberries, and brewing cherry vinegar.

Been up since 0500 hrs tending gardens. Harvested the first row of garlic and as many as we had, the bulbs struggled with the lack of rain. Also harvested greens and the tiniest new potatoes. Corn is coming up well if not a week or so behind. Root bed weeded. #OnTheCovenstead #PermieWitch #GrowFood

Winter garden tips: If you're like me and are still moving plants to their forever home (hey, I'm just 1 crone)... you might want to think about staking & extra mulching (no volcanos plz) to give them a nice foundation and winter blanket. #OnTheCovenstead #WitchSky #PermieWitch #VillaWestwyk #Grow

Feeling appreciative in that all the day's tasks are to support the Land, community & kin with cleansing, ritual, spellcraft, and above all creativity. It's not exactly how I pictured it 6 years ago, but it's even more fabulous.

This is going to be a first (for winter); w/ improvements to the Poultry barn recently, the Ladies have just kept on laying and we'll be able to donate to our fav food bank some fresh Covenstead eggs. Sharing the bounty of the Land is so magical.

Weeded the Moon Garden this morning; added plants to the Madonna Garden; repotted over-wintered geraniums; repotted some zinnia seedlings; planted 4 rows of corn. Didn't get to the other things on my list, but I'm outta gas. #OnTheCovenstead #VillaWestwyk #PermieWitch

Monday's tasks are always barn mucking, Medusa garden, Moon garden, and the Madonna garden. At each station I need to make sure the gardens are watered, weeded, mulched, fed, harvested, and generally free of problems save good growth. #OnTheCovenstead #PermieWitch #WildCovenant

It's been a rough year for growing corn, mostly because we're still building space to grow food. But this is the earliest corn, so hopefully with the other plantings we'll fill our larder. #OnTheCovenstead #PermieWitch #WitchAlt #GrowFood
