I may not be a fan of the Duelist Cup but I do love that it forces me to play better in the games where I *can* play even with a petdeck. Just had a game against Tearlament where I managed to play through their interactions basically flawlessly while going second and it felt fucking amazing

YuGiOh *has* to be met halfway - definitely play a good deck, hell netdeck. Its fine to petdeck something not meta, rogue, whatever but since the game is so high power and sharp its just a much better experience if you start with strong stuff and do weak stuff once you're experienced.
