Bridge staff told the board that June vehicle crossings totaled 108,837 (up 9.2% year over year) and that bridge revenues for the month rose to $2,327,207, a 33.2% increase compared with the same month last fiscal year.

Officials said the Pharr International Bridge reached substantial completion Sept. 15 and two southbound lanes opened, with a ribbon-cutting planned for mid‑October and final phase work continuing through October–November.

Officials reported 110,675 total crossings in January 2026 and toll revenues driving a bulk of the bridge authority's receipts; the finance consultant said total revenues were $8,863,945 and noted bond funding progress for the expansion program.

Bridge Director Luis Bassan told the board the bridge system saw record and rising traffic in December, reporting 116,233 total vehicle crossings and bridge-by-bridge shifts; he also reported December revenues for one report stream as $2,373,704 and handed off to the finance presenter for a quarterly breakdown.
