More photobiomodulation for late effects of radiotherapy. Standing in the glow where science meets hope! I'm not chasing miracles, just giving my body every possible reason to keep going.

Another chapter in the long story of head and neck cancer and its effects. A swallowing assessment today to see whether photobiomodulation has had any impact. I know I'm nil by mouth for life, but even a small improvement would be something worth celebrating.

Two hospital appointments today.
Photobiomodulation first, then immunotherapy session number 71. No drama. No fanfare. No big speech. No finish line ribbon. Not heroic. Not glamorous. Grateful for the science. Grateful for the care. Grateful for another day to keep going!

Today I’m in hospital exploring photobiomodulation - a potential therapy for my throat fibrosis and swallowing issues. Think Star Trek dermal regenerators, but real! It is a targeted light (lasers and LEDs) designed to support tissue repair, calm inflammation, and reduce pain.

‘photobiomodulation neurotech’ is som fucking word salad if I’ve ever seen one. Light-body-muscle-brain-motor

sounds like something someone with insufficiently neurotechnicized photobiomodulation would say

There’s a major knowledge gap when it comes to photobiomodulation and the benefits of infrared light. As Dr. Henderson put it, photobiomodulation is facing challenge today: education and awareness.

I'm at the hospital for my 3rd photobiomodulation session using the shower head laser. It may help with my swallowing issues by helping damaged or stiff tissue calm down, heal, & move more freely over time. It’s not instant. It’s cumulative. Think physio for cells, using wavelengths of red light.

I highly encourage those with covid-induced brain fog to try low-dose nicotine patches and photobiomodulation. I have no idea what it does to AMPA receptors, but the combo gave me my mind back

Dr. Theodore Henderson shares insights on indirect photobiomodulation, suggesting it may activate a skin-derived protein responsible for wound repair and neurological benefits.

Dr. Scott Sigman and I talked about how photobiomodulation is gaining traction, not just because of the science, but because of real results.

The brain clears toxins through the glymphatic system.. but it needs deep sleep to work. Brain injury, aging, or trauma can disrupt this. Photobiomodulation may help restore sleep and support brain detox.
