Yeah, but sometimes my pronunciation of a word isn't an idiolectic variation, it's just fucking wrong. I put two extra syllables in "photometer"! I can be wrong sometimes! It's fine!
Words can have different pronunciation. If someone doesn't like how you say something, it may be classism, or their style guide is different. If they want your voice then they get your vocal style guide.

I started doing QC testing for paint dispersions this year. We read the color strengths and shades on a photometer but the guy who trained me can just eyeball a burnt sienna drawdown against standard and see if it's too blue. I'm trying to learn this skill

This is a really neat result – the #UCSD group are using PUNCH data to drive 3-D models of the entire solar wind flow. Jackson (UCSD Co-I on #PUNCH) invented this field in the early 1980s, using a spinning photometer to make "images" of CMEs. Amazing that we get to work with him today! ☀️🧪🔭🛰️
PUNCH images are now making tomographic models of the solar wind – like a CAT scan of the entire inner solar system! ☀️🧪🔭🛰️
