#Photosphere
My pet bug has been fixed, you can now remotely command Deadlock take a screenshot at a specific position/direction.

Now it should be pretty easy to make a photosphere...

Console command "setpos" doesn't set camera angle
setpos/setpos_exact seem to have parameters for angles but only their positions are considered. getpos/getpos_exact return angles but they cant be used. As a result there's no way to set the camera t...

Altair is a nearby A-type star. It is also one of the hottest nearby stars with X-ray emission, probably arising from corona around its equatorial regions, where convective envelope which sustain them persist on this highly oblate star.

Rampant speculation on the subject can lead to entertainment, or more confusion whereas more research on the matter ALSO leads to more confusion and if you don’t get your facts straight also ridicule.

Good times.

And those photons had to bounce around for 100,000 years (or more!) inside the Sun, getting absorbed and re-emitted by every atom they hit...before smacking into a hydrogen atom in the photosphere and triggering the photon that (finally!) screams through space in 8 minutes to land on your film.

Buenos días Bluesky!
I was surprised when I hopped onto VRChat and saw a photogrammetry world based on Ogijima's iconic lighthouse.
The first picture features the photosphere I use on SteamVR, so it was like being able to explore it 🤣

Usually, just before or after totality, the last ray of the photosphere slips through a single valley on the Moon's edge and makes one bright point.

Here you see two.

It's a particular case of Baily's beads: sunlight filtering through valleys on the lunar limb at second and third contact.
